Had listening comprehension just now...As usual, Malay was hard-I already got two questions wrong,and English was easy.I am pretty sure that the first word my parents spoke to me was in English and that's why I am better at that language than Malay language.Anyway, my mum was from a Chinese family so that could be another reason for my being bad in Malay. My mum even jokes that she wants to call TCS to tell them of her story about being adopted by Malay parents. It's meant to be a joke cos my mum is 53 years old already. She says she doesn't even know why she was given away.. I have two theories:girls weren't really what Chinese parents in those times wanted. They wanted boys.
Theory 2:Since she was born around the world war 2 time, it could be that her parents wanted to keep her safe from the Japanese by giving her to a Malay family.
