I understand.
I understand. I understand that we aren't as close as before, revealing our secrets like nobody's business. I understand that we don't tease each other as much. I understand that there's another person in your life who will fill my old spot. I understand that that person will make you happier than I ever did. I understand that I will never again be the one whom you spill your secrets to. I understand that we're from different schools now and we don't see each other as much. I understand that we're both busy people and that our friendship really isn't a top priority anymore. I understand that I am an idiot to have thought that it would be 'chicken feet' to keep in contact once we were in different environments. I understand that you have new friends now. I understand that I'm not good enough. I understand why I don't really remeber how your face looks like.
It's not either of our faults, really. I understand. Absolutely and completely.
But you know what? I'm going to try and work on this friendship after all. Even if it takes every fibre in my body. Because I think that there is still that tiny glimmer of hope....
