Yellos! It's December, omigosh.. Loads going on, oh dear...
First up, Creative Musical Challenge. Last Sat, we went to NUS for the competition.. 7 schools competed in all. Cedar, Ping Yi Sec, TKGS, Yio Chu Kang Sec, Springfield, Compassvale and Zhenghua (SP?) Sec. I went for breakfast at PP Mac with Lan Xin, Angeline, Wai Leng and Arina before it, though. We ate Sausage McMuffin for lunch, and a lot of us were intimidated by one of bands (Dunno which one, one of them Titans lah) cos they looked so pro in their uniforms and such. And we drank Red Bull, but it didn't make me high like I wanted/hoped. And Ms Sia also called me to the front. She told me not to be so shy and look up more. We were first up, and I think I was gonna puke. Everyone kept telling me that it was okay, but my stomach didn't want to listen. Anyway we danced as usual, and I actually looked up the whole time, except for the handkerchief part lah. I messed up thrice in all. Brilliant, huh? First, I forgot to change steps from the hand pointing thingy to the ... Gah nvm. It's hard to explain. And then I dropped my handkerchief while I was jumping during YMCA, so I had to grab it from the floor. So humiliating. And I think my exclamation mark dropped off my back. UGH. Anyway, one it was over, I felt like disappearing into the ground. Like, I just wanted to weep out all the water from my body. But that's that, and I couldn't undo all my silly mistakes.
So then we just sat in the audience and watched all the bands perform. I thought Ping Yi were super awesome, especially their Percussion. It was like watching the movie Drumline all over again. Only without the stuck-up guy. And I thought TKGS' uniform made them look like air stewardesses. No offence.
And Yio Chu Kang were super funny. "I was Petrified!" - The Prince. Damn funny lah. So after the performances, everybody just did their own stuff and waited. Perc were broken up into a few parts, so I sat next to Arina. And we played chikopak(SP?) three times, and she won all three times, of course. I basically suck at that game. Anyway Arina also made two cranes and one boat from the black paper we bought to write the YMCA on. Yes, she was THAT bored. HAHAHA anyway the results were announced. We got Silver, 74.60 %. I was super sad. Anyway what was done was done, and Ping Yi won the Showmanship category and Compassvale won the Muscianship category. I think for Showmanship, the bands just do moves and no plot whatsoever. But for Musicianship, they have to act out plots and everything.
And the bus ride back to school was even sadder.
Walkin to the bus stop hurt. I received a stinging comment. I shan't mention it.
I went home with Angeline on bus 8.. Then when Angie alighted, I sat in front of Hasia and Judy. I realize that they're super nice people. I mean, I talk to Hasia, and I know she's nice, but I never talk to Judy. Anyway bottom line is that they're nice. And before Shaza alighted, we said thanks for everything, cos she's been coming back these past few band pracs to help us out. I feel bad, I should have thanked her for helping to encourage us. When I was dancing I saw her in the audience telling us to smile, so I did. So thanks, Shaza!
And that was the end of my day on Sat.
I went for Maths tuition with Jac yesterday. I had to wear my scarf, which made me feel like a BLACK SHEEP. The freaking tuition centre had Christan frames all around! Can I just say that I felt like sinking into the ground? Anyway the teacher, Mr Kelvin Ng, was funny. And there's other stuff I wanna say about my new tuition-mates, but I shall refrain. Anyway, Candice and Genson were there too.
This Wednesday, those of us from percussion section who can make it are going to Escape Theme Park! WHEEEE!! I miss the place so much, and the Flipper and everything...
This Thursday, I'm going out with a few of my classmates. Wheeee I hardly ever go out with em, so this is new. We'll be going quite a few places, but it's undecided at present.
This Saturday is my cousin's wedding! I think I'll be going over to her place on Friday and then sleeping over so we can help out the next morning.. I'm super excited! This is the third wedding in the family... Jac and Zb, you guys are invited! You better come hor!
That's about it for now. I'm using my sister's laptop which has internet, so yeah. I think she's taking it back to school next week! *sobs*
This means I don't have emoticons. And Jac doesn't have the cute chocolate monster that I like! She doesn't have the gay spiderman either... ))))))))))):
Anyway goodnite.. My mum is on the verge of murdering me.
