OMG look! A post! :D

Haha. The last time I wrote a proper post was on Damia's birthday! Which was a really, really long time ago. But it's not like I don't want to write one! It's just that I've been given an extremely long list of things to do. Like band, all the tests, homework, getting scolded by my conductors, watching SYF, etc. And the list goes on.

I know I definitely won't be able to recall every single event that has happened to me over the past few months (I can't believe it's been that long, old bloggy), but I shall try my best nonetheless.

Hmm, let's see. Last week was Test Week. We had Maths, A Maths, Chem, and English, and today I sat for my Biology test, for which I strongly feel I've failed. And, since my dear old Maths teacher (not to mention Mr Kang) marks so freakishly fast she strongly resembles a bullet train, the day after the test, she told us she had already completed marking all our papers (excluding one or two people who hadn't sat for the test yet), therefore allowing her to inform our class that 40% had failed Emaths, and that 50% had failed AMaths. Yay. But she gave us back our papers today.

Oh, but Mr Kang was even better. He read out ALL our marks one by one to the ENTIRE CLASS. Ungh. I do not, however, appreciate my marks being exposed to 37 other people. Because I didn't do as well as my first test. ): Because I forgot what the chemical name of dilute sulphuric acid was. )':

A whole lot of stuff has been going on with band lately. I won't go into detail about today's band prac, but for the leaders and understudies, it was not a good day today. But as for band as a whole, it's been rather trying. A few weeks ago, we performed at Speech Day, our performance earning us a praise from Ms Sia. But the thing is, she was referring to the band, not Percussion. I was actually quite happy with my performance that night because the previous band practices, I had been making quite a few mistakes, but for Speech Day I pulled up my nice, new socks which I bought from MiniToons (I'm running out of socks because half a pair dropped into the toiletbowl, and obviously I'm not gonna wear them ever again if they've been in the same place as various people's, um, waste, so...).

Sigh. I know Ms Sia doesn't like me. If she did last time, then she doesn't anymore. Because in the past, when she scolds me, she kinda scolds me in a joking manner. That's not the case anymore, because whenever she scolds me now, she does it pretty harshly. Well, harsher than usual, anyway. Sigh.

I went to watch SYF for military bands with Arina, Lan Xin, Sheriel and Angeline last Saturday! :DDDDDDDDDDDDD I honestly had the time of my life. :D Although we were met with disappointing results. Deyi clinched Gold with Honours, as well as Best Display Band and Best Drum Major. I was majorly disappointed, though. No offence to Deyi, though, because they were good. It's just that I thought two other bands should have won the two titles, one of which I feel should have been awarded something higher. Alright, I'll just say it! I think Ping Yi should have gotten at LEAST a Gold. They rocked! And their drum major looked really cool.

But you should never beat yourself up over one result which is judged over the time span of about fifteen minutes or so (for military bands. As I'm not in one myself, I dunno how long a performance usually is). It sounds so cliche, but you just have to pick yourself up, work harder, and try again. Just look at us.

Last week, though, according to one of our conductors, we're hopeless. My section, that is. And, also, CSB, CSB, We are (not) the best? I thought that was pretty hurtful. I thought those were some pretty harsh words that he used. I mean, aren't cheers supposed to cheer you up and increase your morale by being a bit ego? I thought most cheers were meant to be a little egoistic so as to boost the self-esteem of the organisation it was created by. At least, that's the way I see it. But anyway, whatever it is, I thought he shouldn't have said such a thing to us. Yes, we did get something other than what we hoped to achieve at last year's SYF. Yes, we aren't as good as our cheer makes us out to be. We may not be, like, the best band ever, but we do try sometimes. And even though we don't perform well all the time or not all of us put in the sufficient amount of effort, I still think we rock.
I still love the band deeply, despite all the ups and downs band has put me through (not to mention the pain). Although I hated it at first. But because of the people that make the band. Because of the friends that band has introduced me to. Because of all the skills and experience that I've learnt and gained ever since I joined band.

Lastly, despite all the insults hurled at me, I still love my CCA.

I've actually got, like, a ton of things to say but I lack the time to do so as I've been tasked with not one, but TWO maths exercises assigned to us by none other than Mdm Lum, whose smile absolutely brightens my day and makes me gay!

Uh, not.

But she is extremely cute sometimes.

I shall watch American Idol later at 10! Yay. :D And, of course, I support the one and only __ ___, my beloved. :DDDDDDDD <333333333333 Shucks, he makes me all tingly inside! :DDD
